Back to Brooklyn: Nine Months in Williamsburg with Outsite

After months on the road, I hit a point of burnout and knew it was time to recharge back in New York. I wanted to reconnect with friends and family and enjoy a slower pace for a while.

So, I booked a stay at Outsite’s Williamsburg location in Brooklyn for nine months, settling back into the city that feels like home.

Catching Up with Friends & Family

Back in Brooklyn, my first priority was catching up with friends and family. From brunches to late-night hangs, it was refreshing to be around familiar faces and enjoy everything New York has to offer with the people who know it best.

Getting Back into Skateboarding

Brooklyn’s streets and parks turned out to be perfect for skateboarding, so I jumped back on my board and explored some classic NYC spots. Williamsburg’s skate-friendly vibe brought back all the fun and freedom of skating, helping me get back into an old hobby.

Daybreaker: 5 AM Dance Parties

I joined Daybreaker, a sunrise dance party that takes place on a boat in New York Harbor. Starting at 5 AM, it’s a mix of great music, high energy, and amazing views as the sun rises over the NYC skyline. It’s hands down one of the most unique and energizing ways to start a day in the city.

Living with Incredible Digital Nomads & Home-Cooked Indian Dinners

Staying at Outsite Williamsburg was more than just a place to live; it was a community. I met some amazing digital nomads in the house, many of whom I still keep in touch with. Some housemates from India cooked authentic Indian meals every night, transforming dinner into a communal experience with incredible food and even better company.

Joining Soho House’s Coworking Space

To stay productive, I joined Soho House’s coworking space. The interior design was beautiful, and the local entrepreneur community made it a fantastic spot to work. With creative energy and networking opportunities, it was one of the best coworking environments I’ve experienced.

Conclusion

My nine months in Williamsburg were exactly what I needed to recharge and reconnect. From reuniting with friends and family to sharing dinners with digital nomads at Outsite Williamsburg, Brooklyn gave me a mix of productivity, community, and adventure. Whether I was skating, dancing at Daybreaker, or working from Soho House, my time back in New York turned out to be a perfect balance of work and life.
